Today Is: National Tater Day: NATIONAL WALKING DAY
The first Wednesday in April is National Walking Day and it encourages Americans of all ages to get out and stretch their legs and get their hearts pumping. The American Heart Association sponsors this day to remind people about the health benefits of taking a walk. Wear your sneakers (or take them with you) to work, and at some point in the day, take a 30-minute walk. #NationalWalkingDay

LHS Poms Tryouts: Poms tryouts for the 2026–2027 season will be held April 16–18. There is a flyer posted on the LMS webpage.
LHS Cheer Clinic: Attention 8th Graders - If you are interested in trying out for LHS Cheer there will be clinics Thursday and Friday, April 2nd and 3rd - 5pm-7pm at LHS, and Tryouts will be Saturday, April 4th at LHS with assigned times. Applicants must have a completes packet to tryout. You can pick up a packet on table outside of Mr. Hoffek's Office.

**2nd Semester Grades Determine Eligibility for 1st Semester of next school year for participation in Extracurricular Activities. Students must have a 2.0 GPA and Passing ALL classes for the 2nd semester (No F's).

***Please remember that there are 2 entrances to LMS before school for security checks:
1. 12th Street doors -All Students with a backpack enter
2. Capital Street doors - All students without a backpack or band instrument enter at Capital Street
*Students Please have your laptops and binders out before you come into the building for security checks. Please remove all unnecessary key chains and objects from your backpack that may set off the system. Thank you for you help and patience!!!
Academic Support - Each day there are staff members available before school in room 109 if your student has any concerns or needs teacher guidance. We will also be offering tutoring every Tuesday and Thursday, by invitation only, after school from 2:30 - 4:00 and Academic Lunch for any student that has a failing grade. If your scholar has a course grade that is not passing our Guidance Deans will send you an email and enroll your student in Academic lunch for support.
