ㅡ General Inf0Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention. Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS. From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. | Our courtyard party is coming up. Last chance if you want to play guitar, drums, or sing, please sign up and see Mr. Philbrick in the band room 162. Seniors—Calling all Seniors—It’s time for our annual Seniors vs. Staff Dodgeball game. It will be next Friday, May 9. The sign up sheet will be in the main office. To play You MUST sign up and have NO suspensions. There will be a short mandatory meeting Wednesday, May 7 after school. Any questions see Ms. Barcik in Room 103. It’s Prom Time--- Prom will be Saturday, May 17 at Erin’s Pavilion from 7-10. If you are bringing a date that does not attend Southeast, you MUST fill out a date request form. They are found in the main office and need to be filled out and returned by May 14th. No exceptions. Tickets will be on sale starting May 12 in the commons during lunch shifts. Tickets are $25, and $30 at the door. Seniors interested in running for Prom Court, forms are now available in the main office. They need to be returned by Friday, May 9. If you have any questions about prom, please stop by Room 103 and see Mrs. Barcik. Attention students taking AP exams! If you are taking an AP exam, you must arrive on time with a fully charged school-issued computer! The exams are digital; therefore, you are responsible for bringing a fully charged computer and charger. We DO NOT provide computers or chargers, as each student is assigned a device and charger. Each student was given a reminder slip about their exam time and location! Any senior interested in getting their cap and gown picture taken, Grussenmeyers Photographer will be here before the Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 14 from 5:00-5:45 in the Taylor Street Lobby. Order forms are in the main office and a link to the order form is on the school's website. This is a great way to get a professional picture taken at a reasonable cost! Bring your payment on that day or bring it to Mrs. Laub in room 208 ahead of time! Now, for a short video about our May reading challenge from Mrs. Thompson. Boys and girls, I know the weather is getting nicer out, but the dress code must still be followed. PLEASE no short shorts and skirts, or crop tops. All shorts or skirts per dress code need to be mid thigh or longer! Also, if you are going to wear a dress with a sweater over it, you must keep that sweater ON AT ALL TIMES, even at lunch on the courtyard, if the dress top does not meet dress code rules. |
ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities | Poetry Club will meet TODAY from 3:30-4:00 pm in room 109. Anyone is welcome! Please see Mrs. Collins with any questions. Teen Court jurors make sure you turn your permission slip back into Ms. Miller before Tuesday. On Wednesday do not go to CACC, and I will call everyone down around 9:15 or when the bus arrives. |

ㅡ Awards/CelebrationsCoach LT and Senator Doris Turner teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things were offered, but one thing everyone enjoyed and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone,headphones, and dress code referrals starting Wednesday, October 23. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards on announcements Friday mornings to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements! Stay referral free to win a gift card on Coach LT! | May is Mental Health Awareness Month! Our very own Kylie Bruce started the ice bucket challenge for Mental health Awareness here at Southeast. If you want to participate and/or get nominated please do not do this during the school day, but we would love to help you complete it after school on the courtyard anytime! Congratulations to girls soccer on a competitive tournament this week! The girls soccer team continues to improve their season record and anticipates having their best record in years. This afternoon, good luck to the boys and girls track teams. Boys track will be traveling to Champaign Central and the girls team will compete in Urbana. At 4:30 PM good luck to our varsity baseball team who will play against Pawnee. This weekend, girls softball will play in Urbana at 10 AM and girls soccer will play against Bloomington at Lee Field also at 10 AM. Shoutouts!!! Now for the winners of the gift card giveaway!! |
